Yesterday, I had the incredible opportunity to be a panelist and workshop host at SheSpeaks: Beyond Limits, an International Women’s Day event hosted by BoostHER TMU. From the thoughtfully curated programming to the well-planned speakers, workshops, and questions, every detail of this event was intentional. Not to mention the incredible food, drinks, and sponsors that made the experience even more special. The BoostHer team should be so proud of what they put together, and I’m beyond grateful they saw me as a good fit for this event. Something I was reflecting on before attending was how special it feels to still be involved with Toronto Metropolitan University as an alum. When you’re in university, it can be easy to feel like just another number… get your degree, move on. But now, I find myself more engaged with TMU than I ever was during my four years there, and that truly warms my heart. Thank you, BoostHer TMU, for creating such an empowering space for women and for having me be part of it.

  • A strong team changes everything. At Sater Creative, we started as a one-person show—doing everything. But growth meant bringing on experts, outsourcing, and building a team that pushes us forward. Now, we get to deliver work we’re proud of, raise our value, and collaborate with people who make every day better. Finding the right team isn’t just about talent—it’s about fit, culture, and shared vision. Read more about our journey and why we believe outsourcing is a game-changer ⬇️

  • Hot take: Your follower count doesn’t matter as much as you think it does. We get it... seeing that number go up feels good. It makes you look legit. But if those followers aren’t engaging, sharing, saving, or (most importantly) buying, what’s the point? Even Adam Mosseri (Head of Instagram) has said it, shares and saves are the new currency. So, instead of chasing vanity metrics, let’s focus on what actually drives business growth. Would you rather have 10K followers and no sales or 1,200 loyal, engaged customers who convert? We know our answer. Give it a read and let us know what you think! Do you agree? ⬇️

Two Years of Sater Creative!! Two whole years. Two years of learning, growing, pushing boundaries, building relationships, late nights, early mornings, figuring things out as we go, and showing up every single day. As a small business owner, I’ve learned how important it is to celebrate the wins, no matter how big or small. Because here’s the thing. Some might see two years and think, Okay, big deal. But for me? It’s everything. It means I’ve been able to run my very own business for two years. It means I’ve been able to support myself, pay my bills, take risks, and follow my passion. It means I started a podcast, grew a team, worked with incredible clients, and built something that I never could have imagined when I was just a girl fresh out of university who bought a camera and liked using Canva. The difference between where we were at our first-year anniversary compared to now is mind-blowing. I honestly can’t believe it. And I know without a doubt that none of this would be possible without my team. I have to talk about them for a second because this isn’t just my two years, it’s OURS. They’ve taken what we do to a whole new level. Their creativity, dedication, and passion have pushed this business further than I ever thought possible. When I started, I was just a girl fresh out of university with a camera and an idea. Now, I get to work alongside a team that makes this business better every single day, and I couldn’t be more grateful. And to our clients, whether you’ve been with us since day one or just recently joined the journey, thank you. Every single person we’ve worked with has played a role in getting us here. To our current clients, I’ve never felt more aligned with the people we get to work with. The fact that you trust us with your brands, your stories, and your vision means the world. Two years down. So much more to come.
